The Dutchess County Fairgrounds hosts the second-largest agricultural fair in New York and holds a variety of events throughout the year. The fairgrounds, near downtown Rhinebeck, have been in existence for more than 150 years and are situated on 140 acres. Antiques shows, car shows, craft shows and Indian festivals are among the annual events held there.

The Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome is a moving museum of antique airplanes, with one of the largest collections of early airplanes in the world. The Aerodrome presents air shows and includes four buildings of old airplanes from the golden age of early aviation.

Rhinebeck NY Real Estate Agents Staatsburg--formerly Mills Mansion was the fall home of the financier/philanthropist Mills Family. Built in 1895 and 1896, it is a fine example of the Beaux Arts style and is open for tours in the spring and summer.

Rhinebeck NY Real Estate Agents Wilderstein Historic Site is the home of the Italianate villa built by Thomas Holy Suckley. The grounds were named for an Indian petroglyph found on the site. The villa was later transformed into a Queen Anne style home. The site includes trails, a library and a gift shop.

The Fisher Performing Arts Center was designed by Frank Gehry and is truly striking in design. The Center hosts a full calendar of events including dance, theatre and musical events. The Center is located on the campus of Bard College.

Located in Red Hook, NY all the winemaking and barrel aging take place in a converted dairy barn, part of which are from the 19th century. The winery is open mid-April to mid-November with tours available.

Each June and September the Dutchess County Fairgrounds is the site of the premier Arts & Crafts shows in the Northeast. The 2008 show dates are June 21-22 and Oct 4-5.
